“30 years of walking alongside people in their darkest moments — now distilled into a framework for lasting wholeness.”
My Story
I was born and raised in Ethiopia, a land of ancient faith and deep community bonds. It was there, in 1999, that I answered a call to pastoral ministry — a call I have never looked back from. For over a decade I served congregations across Ethiopia, counseling families through grief, guiding young people through crisis, and sitting with the broken-hearted at all hours of the night. That season shaped something in me that no classroom could: the unshakeable conviction that every human being carries a sacred wholeness, even when they cannot feel it.
In time, God opened a door to the United States. I came hungry to deepen my understanding of the human soul — studying Sacred Theology at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, then pursuing doctoral work at Covenant Theological Seminary. Those years of rigorous academic formation gave language and framework to what I had already lived on the ground in Ethiopia. They also led me toward a new frontier: the intersection of transpersonal psychology, Biblical integration, and the science of healing. My PhD dissertation, “Fragmentation, Healing, and Wholeness: A Transpersonal-Biblical Integration Model for the Treatment of Psychological Fragmentation,” is the intellectual backbone of everything I now teach at Lumina Wholistic Academy.
Today I serve as a Chaplain Resident at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta — one of the busiest trauma hospitals in the Southeast. Every shift I walk into ICU rooms, emergency wards, and end-of-life suites, offering spiritual care, crisis support, and grief counseling to patients and families in their most vulnerable moments. I also serve as Senior Pastor of I Care International Church in Clarkston, GA — a congregation rooted in the refugee and immigrant community, built on the belief that belonging is a human right. Through Reigning Life Coaching, I bring certified life, mental health, and relationship coaching to individuals ready to move from surviving to thriving.
Lumina Wholistic Academy was born from the convergence of all these streams. Thirty years of frontline human care. Five graduate degrees. A dissertation on healing fragmentation. A bilingual ministry spanning two continents. I built this academy because I believe that the most profound transformation is not just intellectual or just spiritual — it is wholistic. It touches every dimension of who you are: mind, body, spirit, and soul. You deserve more than a quick fix. You deserve to become whole.

My Approach
True transformation is not a destination you arrive at by fixing one thing. It is a journey that touches every dimension of who you are — Mind, Body, Spirit, and Soul. Most coaching and therapy programs address one or two of these layers. The Lumina Wholistic approach insists on all four, because fragmentation — the feeling of being split, stuck, or hollow — lives at the intersection of all four. You cannot think your way out of a wound that lives in your body, or pray your way out of a pattern that lives in your psychology.
What I bring to this work is rare: academic training in transpersonal psychology and Biblical integration, decades of pastoral and chaplaincy experience at life’s sharpest edges, and professional certification in mental health and relationship coaching. This is not theory borrowed from books. Every framework I teach has been tested in hospital rooms, refugee communities, and counseling sessions. It has been forged in the fire of real human suffering and real human resilience.
The Lumina Wholistic Academy is built for people who feel fragmented and are ready — truly ready — to become whole. If you have tried self-help that didn’t hold, therapy that only scratched the surface, or spiritual practices that felt disconnected from your daily life, you are exactly who I built this for. The tools here are integrative, evidence-informed, and grounded in 30-plus years of walking alongside people at every stage of the human journey.
